Do What You Like

by Jean Biri

Would be entrepreneurs are told to do what they love. But if you’re in it for the short-haul, get involved with what you like but avoid all attachment.

Most of the ventures I start-up are usually solicited by buyers and sometimes the offer is too good to be true on an idea that I really was attached and fully in love with. Needless to say, letting go is hard as nails.

If you plan on developing the idea into a viable business for the long haul by all means, do what you love.

Another reason for not being to much in love with and attached to your idea is that you tend to lose that impartiality that’s a key attribute to being entrepreneurial especially if you do not have business partners.

I have learned my lesson, I develop interesting concepts thus I am able to stay involved in while keeping my objectivity and freedom to hop onto the next idea when the original mission is complete and the opportunity presents itself.
