The Alternative

by Jean Biri

Suppose you spot a good business idea and you decide to copy it. Automatically, the world at large is going to label you as a “copycat” and it may lead to negative press that eventually may cost you business.

Marketing is all about ideas. You could simply state that you’re the alternative and just a twist to the original concept to validate your claim.

If the original concept is tall, you create an alternative for those who like small. If the original idea consists of selling to adults, you create an alternative for children. And so forth.

Words are words. That’s why I wonder why wordsmiths such as journalists are not billionaires.
