Some successful entrepreneurs and business pundits say that seeking outside investment is not a smart business move. It’s true in a sense as with outside funding, you give away some ownership and some decision making power.
But outside investment is necessary for most projects. Some entrepreneurs have great ideas but lack of skills to make them happen so they need money to hire the expertise.
Some ventures require too much start-up capital that without outside help, they simply cannot take off (example: airline company).
I guess that my point is that money is an essential ingredient to building a successful business venture. It helps in getting things done faster, better and sometimes cheaper.
