At the end of the day, entrepreneurs are human beings who face their daily doses of challenges and troubles, emotional among others.
For those who work solo, it (emotional trouble) can have an impact on their productivity and judgement.
For instance, how can you be in an emotional mess and make the right objective business call?
I see three possible ways:
1) Get a partner. Two people are actually better for a company’s good health as they bounce ideas off each other and spot a flaw in each other’s judgments. Fault of getting a partner, maybe an advisor or mentor. I would even consider a person who might not be as savvy in business as you are but who happens to have good judgement and general wisdom.
2) “What Do I usually Do?”. Business life consists of doing some things, day in and day out. You’ve probably have faced in one way or another, a situation that you might come across during your emotional downtime. Think with your head and not with your heart and recall the usual step of actions.
3) Wait for the cloud to dissipate. Sometimes, taking a break from key business involvement due to emotional worries is the best idea. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break. One thing is for sure: when you bounce back you will be a force to be reckoned with!
Note to the astute reader: did I give myself away as to my state of mind these past weeks?
