On the 22nd of this month, the last coal mine in France was closed down. I guess that marks the end of an industry.
The main culprit here is that nasty phenomenon called change. If there’s something people cannot stop is change. We may embrace or reject it but whatever change decides to bring to us, that what we will get.
Although coal mining was the big thing in the industrial revolution, it has come to an end as far as France is concerned. People will be out of jobs that’s for sure and some businesses will go bankrupt.
What happens when your industry heads over the cliff? Will you get off the boat on time? Will fight change and go under?
